The Screw Type

This can be virtually any type of screw—machine screw, sheet metal screw, self-tapping screw, etc. It can have any head style (pan, hex, flange, truss, oval) and any drive type (Phillips, Pozi, Torx, slot). Common standards include ISO 7380-2 (for hex socket button heads with washers) and DIN 7980 (for Phillips pan head screws with washers).

The Washer Type

This is most commonly a split lock washer (helical spring washer) used to prevent loosening from vibration. However, it can also be a:

Flat Washer (for load distribution)
Tooth Lock Washer (internal, external, or countersunk)
Sealing Washer (rubber, neoprene, or copper for creating a fluid/gas seal)
